The procedure of the data backup is defined by various influencing factors such as the storage systems, the data volume and the server infrastructure. In the data backup concept a solution has to be found, which takes these factors into consideration and which is economically justifiable at the same time.
The technical possibilities for realizing data backups are manifold. However, the selection is always determined by the mentioned factors. Hence, first of all the influencing variables of the IT systems and the therewith realized IT-applications have to be defined and comprehensibly documented. Subsequently an appropriate procedure has to be developed and documented.
